2010 CCGM Executive Board Nominated 
 
The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford 2010 Executive Board of Directors looks forward to another great year at the CCGM.
Fred Rohm, who served as CCGM Vice President last year, will serve as this years President. Fred is a native Delawarean, a graduate of the University of Delaware, a retired Navel Officer, a deacon & member of the Manship Chapel in Felton, and is a Rotarian. He spent over thirty years in chamber of commerce management and is a Certified Chamber Executive. Fred currently works as Executive Director of the Frederica Senior Center. He also serves on the Delaware Senior Olympics Board as table tennis coordinator. Fred holds four gold metals in table tennis and four gold metals in billiards in Delaware Senior Olympics competition. In his spare time Fred and his wife Donna like to enjoy camping and visiting their children and grandchildren.
Serving as Vice President this year is Mike Kazala, General Manager of Delmarva Broadcasting Company (Eagle 97.7, Cool 101.3 & LaExitosa) in Milford, where he and his staff spend much of their time assisting area non-profit groups in their fund-raising and awareness building efforts.
Mike began his media career in Dover, DE and expanded it to the Jersey Shore. In Jersey he managed radio stations, newspapers, worked in management at one of New Jersey’s largest advertising agencies, as well as owning a successful direct mail business. Mike also served on the board with local chambers of commerce.
Mike is a big believer in community service. In addition to serving on the CCGM Board, he is a member of the Mispillion Rotary Club and is serving on the Greater Milford Area Can-Do Two Playground Committee. Mike enjoys boating, music, golf, photography and spending time with his wife Susan.
Returning as Treasurer is Deanna Smith. Deanna is a native Delawarean who has been with one of Delaware’s oldest financial institutions, Artisans’ Bank, for over twenty-three years. She is the Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of Artisans’ Bank in Milford. Along with her volunteer work on the CCGM Board of Directors, Golf Committee & Riverwalk “Freedom” Festival Kids Korner, Deanna is also the Vice President of the Soroptimist International of Dover, an organization for business and professional women working to improve the lives of women and girls. She has also volunteered with the Miss Delaware Scholarship Organization. Deanna has a fine love of the arts, whose own artist’s renderings have been displayed in various art shows. Deanna also volunteered for the Marion Tracey Dance Studio & the Central Delaware Dance Academy and performed in the ballet The Nutcracker. She and her husband Mike and son Alex reside in Magnolia.
Susie Pennell is returning for her second year as Secretary for the CCGM. Susie is from Virginia, and has lived most of her adult life just outside of Washington, D.C., where she
 
worked for The Boeing Company for 30 years as H.R. Manager. Susie moved to Delaware about four years ago, starting her own business as a Certified Relationship Coach, helping families with troubled teens. Currently Susie is working for a Title Settlement company, doing closings in forty-three states. Susie also works for the Breast Cancer Coalition, where she can fill her passion to support the fight against breast cancer. She is in charge of their yearly fund-raiser, which raises about $200,000.00. To continue her support for breast cancer awareness, Susie plans on walking 39.3 miles in the Avon Breast Cancer Walk in Washington, D.C. in May. Susie has also been spotted at another cancer fund-raising event, the Milford Relay for Life Kick-off.
When she’s not walking to support a cause, Susie likes to walk around Rehoboth, play the piano and take long drives.
