Busy Bee
Born and raised in Milford, I moved to Southern Maryland in my freshman year of high school when my Dad was transferred there. I graduated from Chopticon High School and returned to Delaware when I was 22. I earned an Associate of Applied Science in Human Services from Delaware Technical and Community College Owens Campus. I was employed with the American Cancer Society for three years before moving with my supervisor to Jobs for Delaware Graduates where I worked for three years. I then became the Transportation Secretary for Milford School District, a job I held for almost 20 years before working in Guidance at both Milford Middle and Milford High School. I left the school district in 2010 and was looking for something to keep me busy. At a Chamber breakfast, I met Bryan Shupe who had just started an online paper. I mentioned I was writing about historic houses in MIlford for fun and he hired me to write them for Milford Live. I have been with Milford Live ever since. I also write for an online content company and provide various types of copy for websites, blogs, press releases, etc. I have been married for 33 years to my husband, Greg. He had two children, a daughter and a son, when we married and we have a daughter together.
